About

Bringing science, adventure, and an appreciation of other cultures into the classroom.

Starting in Addis Ababa, I have 10 days to make it over to Bahir Dar where I will meet up with the rest of my research team. With Meg Lowman at the helm, we will be conducting insect biodiversity surveys in Ethiopia’s church forests. This data along with vegetation surveys will help to establish a strong case for conservation of Ethiopia’s church forests.

This incredible opportunity was made possible by Fund For Teachers. Check out their website!

Jessica, your blog is fantastic and the picture of you showing children the insects you collected with an aspirator now tops my list of favorite Fellow pictures. Please stay in touch!
